Horse training accounts in this Blog are not intended to be instructional, rather they are descriptions of personal experiences with particular horses. Please do not assume that any other horse will behave or react the same as the ones described here. Each horse is an individual, and each person has their own unique approach to handling and training.
Consult with a professional trainer, or at least study up in advance for all training situations. Incomplete knowledge is just that, damage can be done unintentionally, HORSES ARE ALWAYS UNPREDICTABLE and therefore potentially dangerous. Some horses in these training articles were bred and raised by their owners since birth, so familiarity with them and their likely behavior was as complete as it could possibly be. When a horse has a history with previous owners and handlers, you have no real idea what it's been through... but the horse will always remember. Length of time spent with a horse only HELPS predict what to expect from them.
Our hope is simply that the horses you enjoy might benefit from some of the ideas presented in Horse Smarts & Carts Blog.
